President Putin has met with US Envoy Steve Witkoff, as Donald Trump’s deadline looms for Russia to make a peace deal in its war with Ukraine.
If the deal isn’t made, the US president has pledged to impose damaging tariffs on Russian imports – and on Wednesday, he struck India with a 25% tariff for importing Russian oil.
