Alexei Navalny – high-profile critic of Vladimir Putin – was killed by the Russian government using poison derived from the Ecuadorian Dart Frog, according to the Foreign Office.

His wife Yulia Navalnaya announced his death two years ago, with the Russian government claiming the opposition leader died from natural causes.
But the UK government said analysis of material samples found on his body meant it was highly likely he was poisoned while in prison and, in a joint statement with allies, said that only the Kremlin had "the means, motive and opportunity to administer this poison to him".
