British high court Judge Justice John Cavanagh sentenced Urfan Sharif and Beinash Batool, the father and stepmother of Sara Sharif, to life in prison after they were found guilty of her murder.

Cavanagh sentenced Sharif to a minimum term of 40 years and Batool to a minimum term of 33 years. Sara’s paternal uncle, Faisal Malik, 29, who was living with the family at the time, was found not guilty of murder but was convicted of causing or allowing her death. Malik was jailed for 16 years
