Kemi Badenoch uses her first question of the year to Sir Keir Starmer to ask why he isn’t issuing a statement in the Commons over the potential deployment of troops in Ukraine.
She says she welcomes the prime minister’s efforts to advance peace in Ukraine, as well as the joint statement on Greenland criticising the US.
However, given "significant international events" in recent days, she says it is "astonishing" he is not making a full statement to Parliament today.
