A Scottish man has been granted bail, nine years after he was detained in India.

Sikh activist Jagtar Singh Johal was arrested in 2017 in connection with alleged terror offences, but has never been convicted.
Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney welcomed the news, adding that he hoped Jagtar and his family would be reunited soon, though his legal team warned he is still not a free man.
