Scottish Parliament votes against legalising assisted dying

MSPs have voted against legalising assisted dying for terminally ill adults in Scotland.

The legislation would have allowed those aged 18 or older with decision-making capacity and six months or less to live to seek medical help to end their life.

MSPs voted 59-67 against passing the bill, with one abstention.
