New guidelines from the Government say parents should limit screen time for under fives to an hour a day or less – and avoid devices or toys which use AI.
Families are also being advised to avoid all screen time for under-twos unless parents are interacting with their child at the time.
The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said he would "fight" social media firms which failed to tackle addictive content in order to protect children.
