The US attorney for the southern district of New York announces the unsealing of a three-count federal indictment charging Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He is alleged to have used his fame as one of the biggest names in hip-hop to abuse, threaten and coerce victims to fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation and hide his conduct, Damian Williams said. Starting in 2009, Combs transported victims, including male sex workers, across state lines to take part in recorded group sexual performances called ‘freak offs’ during which he would watch and masturbate, prosecutors said. The 54-year-old rapper and producer was arrested in Manhattan on Monday night and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday. He could face decades in prison if convicted
