Romania’s president says two aerial drones hit ships which caught fire in Romanian territorial waters overnight.
Rescuers are still searching for seven missing crew from the San Marino-flagged tanker Wine Trader.
Five other crew members were rescued.
The two ships were anchored in the Black Sea, near a major shipping route used by Ukraine.
Romania is a Nato member and has reported breaches of its airspace by Russian drones over the past four years.
