A seven-year-old girl has died and another girl, aged six, remains in a "very serious" condition after a tree partially collapsed at a park in Essex.
The girls were among a number of children caught beneath the tree at Chalkwell Park in Southend shortly before 3pm on Saturday.
Essex Police have confirmed that the seven-year-old child died in hospital and her family is receiving support from specialist officers.
