Crowds of Bangladeshis celebrated outside the Dhaka tribunal after a verdict was handed down sentencing ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to death. Hasina, who was ousted in 2024 after a nationwide student-led uprising, was found guilty on three counts of overseeing a crackdown that led to the deaths of hundreds of protesters.
