The former Labour leader Lord Kinnock says Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves should consider a wealth tax on assets greater than £10m to fill the black hole in the public finances.
Last minute concessions made to the flagship Welfare Bill enabled the government to get it through parliament, but removed key sections of the legislation which would have cut the benefit bill by billions of pounds a year.
