Donald Trump has spoken in glowing terms about the King and Queen’s state visit to the United States in a telephone call with Sky News, while continuing to criticise Sir Keir Starmer.
Speaking to Sky’s Mark Stone, the president praised the King’s speech to Congress, saying: "He was fantastic. It was a brilliant speech. It was delivered beautifully, with that beautiful accent that he’s got."
He added: "Your prime minister has to learn to deal the way he deals, and he’ll do a lot better."
