One of the protesters was the co-head of Greenpeace UK who says they targeted the US embassy in response to America’s sale of weapons to Israel.

Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, which has killed more than 50,000 people, was in response to Hamas’s deadly October 7th attack, in which more than 1,200 people were killed and a further 250 taken hostage.
