An "explosive" report has found Greater Manchester Police Officers are abusing their power and carrying out unnecessary strip searches on women and girls taken into custody.
The independent inquiry found officers sometimes treat victims as perpetrators, and traumatising those who have suffered sexual abuse or domestic violence.
The review was launched following a Sky News investigation into the stories of a number of women who say they were inappropriately strip-searched by officers.
