Smoke rises in southern Lebanon as Netanyahu escalates the war against Hezbollah

In the most serious escalation of Israel’s war in Lebanon since the ceasefire, the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, ordered the military to move further into Lebanon. Intensification of hostilities in southern Lebanon was reported over the weekend, where footage shows Israeli troops seizing Beaufort Castle, which grants a vantage point over much of southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
