A social housing scheme for older people has won this year’s top architecture prize for trying to tackle loneliness and foster social connection.
The Appleby Blue Almshouse in south London, which provides affordable housing for people aged over 65, was praised by the Stirling Prize judges for creating an "aspirational living environment" with the "sense of a woodland oasis".
