Soham schoolgirl killer Ian Huntley has suffered serious head injuries from being attacked in prison with a metal bar.

Durham police said a prisoner, understood to be Huntley, was assaulted this morning at HMP Frankland before being rushed to hospital.
The former school caretaker killed 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in Soham, Cambridgeshire, in 2002.
