South Africans ‘lured into suicide mission in Ukraine’

At least 17 men in South Africa have allegedly been trafficked by former president Jacob Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile, ending up fighting as mercenaries in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Half of the men trafficked are related to the Zuma family.

There is currently a criminal case against Duduzile for trafficking, as joining a foreign military is illegal in South Africa.

She apparently told the men they were going to Russia for bodyguard training.

Sky News’ Africa correspondent Yousra Elbagir speaks to the brother of one of the men who is currently in Russia.
