South Korea has begun dismantling oversized loud speakers along its border that were formerly used to broadcast anti-north korea messages.
In an effort to improve relations with the North, the South Korean government switched off the speakers in June. The two countries are technically still at war after the Korean War ended in an armistice in 1953.
