A vintage MiG-23 fighter jet crashed during the Thunder Over Michigan airshow, as the pilot and crew member ejected to narrowly avoid serious injury.

The Soviet-era plane went down in Belleville on Detroit’s outskirts, striking unoccupied vehicles in the car park of an apartment complex. No ground injuries were reported at the apartments or the airshow, hosted by the Yankee Air Museum.
