Spike in fatalities on Scottish mountains leads to urgent warning from rescuers| ITV News

Rescue volunteers have urged mountain climbers to be cautious after a rise in the number of fatalities.

Last year teams in Scotland said 40 people died on mountains last year, and say the number of fatalities in 2023 are already higher than this.

It comes after three hillwalkers were found dead after failing to return from a walk in Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands earlier this month, Police Scotland said.
