Sri Lanka’s High Court has sentenced 15 people to more than 220 years in prison each for plotting the 2019 Easter Sunday bomb attacks that killed 267 people.

The co-ordinated attacks, inspired by the Islamic State, were carried out at three luxury hotels and three churches in Colombo, directly targeting the Christian community and foreign tourists.
The terror attacks were among the deadliest in the country’s history.
