Starmer gives ‘full backing’ to Reeves after tearful PMQs

After a climbdown in the face of a backbench rebellion, today Sir Keir Starmer was forced to give his "full backing" to Chancellor Rachel Reeves – declaring she was "going nowhere".

The only explanation for her tearful appearance in the Commons – was that it was a "personal matter".
