Starmer in US as Russia warns West of risk of all out war

The news that six British diplomats were being effectively expelled broke on Russian state TV this morning. Russia accused them of spying – something that was hastily denied by the Foreign Office.

The claims followed Vladimir Putin’s stark warning yesterday of the risks of Nato being drawn into a war. This evening Sir Keir Starmer is in Washington meeting President Biden to discuss the escalating crisis.
