Badenoch argued that the bill is ‘an adventure playground for lawyers’ and told the prime minister to ‘stop being a lawyer and start being a leader’. Starmer retaliated by arguing that Badenoch ‘is not a lawyer, clearly not a leader and if she keeps on like this she is going to be the next lettuce’ in reference to the public mockery of former Conservative prime minister Liz Truss
