The Prime Minister has announced the UK is formally recognising Palestine as a state.
Sir Keir Starmer said he hoped the move would lead to a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.
Israel described the decision as "absurd".
The announcement comes ahead of this week’s United Nations summit, where more countries are expected to follow suit.
