Leading UK defence manufacturers are calling on British banks to abandon what they say are "outdated" ethical standards about investing in the sector.
The UK along with many European countries are having to increase their defence budgets to counter the threat from Russia and Donald Trump’s wavering commitment to the continent.
But defence companies say they cannot raise their output because banks are unwilling to invest in the sector.
