Figures released today show a steep rise in the number of buy-to-let mortgages going into arrears, whilst landlord possession claims – the process by which the landlord applies to remove their tenant from a property – have also jumped dramatically in the last quarter.

And those aren’t the only worrying signs if you’re a private renter.
