Part of the historic West Pier in Brighton has fallen into the sea during Storm Austen.
The collapse comes as Storm Austen impacted areas of the South East of the UK, with gusts of up to 70mph hitting coastal areas hardest.
Elsewhere, people living in a Hampshire village say the bad weather caused damage to some homes overnight, with rooftiles falling off one resident’s home.
