Storm begins to batter UK and Ireland

Weather warnings are in place as Storm Floris begins to batter the UK and Ireland.

Central and northern Scotland are under an amber warning from 10am this morning until 10pm tonight.

A yellow warning for wind for northern parts of the UK began at 6am today, and will last 24 hours.
