Storm Chandra is bringing strong winds and heavy rain to large parts of the UK – with residents in one Devon village warned that their homes could be flooded. Motorists in the worst hit areas have been warned not to travel – as Devon and Cornwall police said many roads were becoming impassable. Dozens of people had to be rescued from flooded vehicles, while hundreds of schools have been closed.
