Storm Éowyn: Thousands without power after ‘strongest storm in 10 years’

Hundreds of thousands of homes are still without power – as communities in Scotland and Northern Ireland begin clearing up the damage left by Storm Éowyn.

The Met Office said it was the strongest storm to hit the UK for at least a decade – with some of the highest wind speeds on record.
