Streets turn into rivers as Typhoon Haikui inundates China’s Fujian

Streets in the southeastern Chinese city of Fuqing turned into rivers due to torrential rains caused by now-weakened Typhoon Haikui which made landfall early on Tuesday.

Eyewitness footage showed strong currents flowing down a sloped street, with local authorities recording over 149mm of rainfall in a 24-hour period.
