Strong winds reignite wildfires in Greece, triggering more evacuations

Greek authorities were forced to evacuate more people on Thursday after a wildfire in an area west of Athens that had been beaten back grew in strength. Fire tore through trees close to buildings near the village of Agios Sotiras, as water bombers and fire engines battled the blaze. Fires on Rhodes and in Lakonia in southern Greece also spread, and rising temperatures over the weekend are threatening new outbreaks
