Survivor gives evidence at Nottingham attacks inquiry

Two people seriously injured by Valdo Calocane in Nottingham in June 2023 give evidence today at the public inquiry into the deadly attacks.

Calocane killed University of Nottingham students Barnaby Webber and Grace O’Malley-Kumar, both 19, and Ian Coates, 65, and seriously injured three others as he drove Coates’s stolen van.

Calocane was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in January 2024 after pleading guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility.

The inquiry is chaired by senior circuit judge Deborah Taylor.
