Israel has marked the second anniversary of the 7th of October attacks, which saw 1200 people – mainly civilians – killed in a Hamas terrorist attack and 251 taken hostage. A moment of silence was held at the site of the Nova Music Festival in southern Israel where 360 people were killed.
The majority of hostages have been released in previous pauses in fighting, but a large rally is being held in Tel Aviv calling Hamas to free the believed remaining 22 hostages, and the bodies of a further 26. It comes as talks are being held in Egypt aimed at bringing an end to the conflict in Gaza.
