The country became the 32nd member of Nato after it applied to join the alliance in the wake of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine. ‘Sweden has come home,’ said Swedish prime minister Ulf Kristersson, while thanking Stoltenberg for his support throughout the process.
