Swinney hits out at Home Office over asylum seeker support in Glasgow

John Swinney has hit out at the Home Office in defence of his comment that Scottish cities such as Glasgow have been "overwhelmed" by asylum seekers.

He told Trevor Phillips the Home Office had not offered enough support to migrants who are housed in the city.

The SNP leader insisted he was not calling on the government to send fewer asylum seekers to Glasgow.
