Sydney remembers Bondi attack victims as city welcomes in 2026

A moment of silence was held in Sydney for the victims of the Bondi Beach attack ahead of the city’s 2026 fireworks display.

Fifteen people were killed and dozens more injured when two gunmen opened fire on a Hanukkah celebration.

Security was tight for the fireworks event, which centred on the Sydney Harbour.
