Tackling domestic abuse in Greater Manchester

Domestic abuse is described as an ‘epidemic’ in the UK, but years of treating it without urgency has left abuser emboldened and victims in danger.

We join police in Greater Manchester as they carry out a pilot programme enforcing Domestic Abuse Protection Orders, aimed at keeping abusers off the streets for longer.

But questions still remain if the pilot scheme is effective and if it can be expanded further around the country.
