Talks begin in London to try to find way to end Sudan’s brutal conflict

Talks are taking place in London to try to restart the peace process in Sudan, two years to the day since fighting broke out, sparking the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.

The UK today announced a 120 million pound aid package and is co-hosting the talks alongside the 55-member African Union bloc and the European Union, plus representatives from South Sudan and Saudi Arabia.
