This report contains some distressing details.
A boy has been sentenced to life with a minimum term of 16 years for the murder of teenager Harvey Willgoose at a school in Sheffield.
Fifteen-year-old Mohammed Umar Khan stabbed Harvey, who was also 15, twice with a hunting knife during a lunch break at All Saints Catholic High School in February.
Harvey died at the scene.
Passing sentence at Sheffield Crown Court, Judge Mrs Justice Ellenbogen told Khan: "You accept you took the knife into school and intended to have it to use as a weapon, albeit you said for protection.
"You then used that knife for Harvey’s murder."
The judge had earlier lifted an order protecting Khan’s identity, saying it was in the public interest to name him.
