Teenagers react to plans to lower the voting age

Teenagers have given their verdict on government plans that will allow 16 and 17-year-olds the chance to vote in a general election for the first time.

Under the proposals, up to 9.5 million more people will now be able to vote, the IPPR think tank has said.

The latest figures show 48,208,507 people are currently registered to vote.
