A 13-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy have been sentenced after a pensioner died after being attacked while walking his dog in a park in Leicestershire.
The teenagers, who cannot be named because of their ages, were unanimously convicted of manslaughter at Leicester Crown Court in April after facing trial over the death of 80-year-old Bhim Kohli, who was filmed being slapped in the face with a shoe while on his knees before his death.
The teenage boy, who was cleared of murder by the jury in April, has been sentenced to seven years in custody for killing Mr Kohli.
The 13-year-old girl has been sentenced to a youth rehabilitation order of three years – which means she will be supervised and required to follow certain conditions in the community.
