Tens of thousands join rival marches in London

An unprecedented four million pound police operation involving armoured vehicles, drones, and helicopters helped keep apart two major protests in central London.

Around 4 thousand officers were on duty, hoping to avoid clashes between Tommy Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom’ march and a pro-Palestine ‘Nakba Day’ rally.
