A Transport for London advert has been banned for reinforcing negative stereotypes about Black men.
The Facebook ad showed a young Black man verbally harassing a white girl, while a white teenage boy sat close to the victim, boxing her in.
It was part of a two-minute film which was turned into three shorter social ads.
The UK’s advertising regulator said this section, which was clipped, didn’t show the white male jointly intimidating the victim – and the Black teen was the sole aggressor.
It was part of a campaign to encourage passengers to intervene if they witnessed sexual harassment or a hate crime. TFL said the full-length version of the ad showed a "diverse cast".
