Thailand suspends truce with Cambodia after troops injured by landmine blast | DW News

The government in Thailand says it’s suspending the implementation of a peace agreement with Cambodia. The Thai army released images that it says shows two Thai soldiers injured in a landmine explosion. The accord, signed last month along with US President Donald Trump, aimed to secure an end to deadly border clashes that erupted in July. The move will halt the deal’s provisions, including the release of 18 Cambodian prisoners – unless Cambodia meets Thailand’s unspecified demands. With reporting from journalist Tommy Walker in Bangkok.
