Thames Water reports £1.6bn loss

Thames Water has reported a £1.65bn loss over the past year, pushing its debt to £16.8bn.

The UK’s largest water and wastewater company, which supplies around a quarter of the population, now faces questions from MPs as uncertainty over its future grows.

It also faces heavy criticism following a series of sewage leaks.
