The AfD has won big – but what does this mean for Germany? #germany #afd #aliceweidel

The Alternative for Germany, co-lead by Alice Weidel, has become a major political force in the 13 years since its founding and is now celebrating a landslide victory in the election in Saxony-Anhalt on September 6th, winning 43.8% of the vote.

The win’s been congratulated by Elon Musk, but Germany’s Chancellor Friedrich Merz says he’s ‘disappointed’ by the result.
